Lightening, correction, root work and tone — done slowly enough to be right, and priced on what your hair actually took rather than which box it fits in.
How we price it
A pixie and waist-length hair are not the same job.
Most salons charge one flat price for “a full head of colour”. That price has to cover the client whose hair drinks three tubes, which means the client who needs one is quietly paying for them.
We weigh instead. You are charged for the colour that went on your head — which is why our colour prices carry pence, and why a supplement of £3–£10 sometimes applies. It is the same principle either way: you pay for what you had.
It also means far less waste. Mixed by eye, the excess goes down the drain. Weighed, there is barely any excess to lose.

Four steps, every time.

Consultation & skin test
We look at your hair properly — what has been on it before, its condition, how it behaves. The skin test is legally required and has to happen at least 48 hours before any colour, so we get it done here and now.

A number, before we start
You are told what it will cost before anything is mixed. If your hair is going to take more colour than usual, you hear that at the chair, not at the till.

Weighed, not guessed
Every gram that goes into the bowl is weighed. There is almost nothing left over to rinse away, and we know precisely what went on your hair.

Protected, then finished
Metal Detox goes on before colour so peroxide cannot react with the metal deposits tap water leaves behind. Then toned, finished, and shown how to keep it.
A note on names
Looking for balayage? It is on our list as Shatush.
They are the same freehand approach. Balayage is the French word — it means “to sweep”, and it describes painting colour on by hand rather than through foils. Shatush is what the technique is called in Italy, and it is the name we use on our price list.
Either way, what you get is lightness swept through the mid-lengths and ends, blended so there is no hard line where your natural colour starts. It grows out gently, which is why it needs far less maintenance than a full head of foils — most people stretch it to several months between appointments.
We price it by length, because long hair genuinely takes more work and more product: Shatush — Short Hair and Shatush — Long Hair, both from £81.90. If you want brightness only around the face, that is L’effetto Barca, from £29.40.

Condition
Keeping the hair, not just the colour.
Metal Detox is a spray we put on before colour. Tap water leaves metal deposits in hair; when peroxide meets them it reacts, and that reaction is what wrecks the condition. The spray stops it. It is £5, it works on every hair type, and very nearly every colour client here has it.
Olaplex rebuilds the bonds inside the hair. There is home aftercare on the shelf too, so you can keep re-bonding between visits rather than starting from scratch each time you come in.
