A salon visit should be about you — and it should not cost the earth.

We are a small team on Market Place, cutting and colouring hair for Somerton and the villages around it. What happens in your chair is unhurried: a proper consultation, an honest opinion about what will actually work with your hair, and a finish you can repeat at home.

The other half of how we work is less visible. Salons produce a great deal of waste, and colour is the worst of it — most of it goes to landfill or down the drain. We have been working against that since 2017.

We weigh every gram of colour we mix.

Mixed by eye, colour gets over-mixed almost every time, and the excess is rinsed away. Weighed to the gram, there is very little left in the bowl — and we know exactly what went on your hair, so that is exactly what you are charged for.

What does leave the salon does not go in a bin. We are a Green Salon Collective member: hair clippings, foils, colour tubes and cans are collected and recycled. That is what the £1 Green Fee on your bill pays for — all of it, nothing else.

Charged for what went on your hair. Not for a category.

A flat colour price overcharges short hair and undercharges long. Because we weigh, we can do the fairer thing: you pay for the colour that was actually used on you. It is why our colour prices carry pence rather than round numbers.

Colour correction, Shatush, Signature Blonding, root work and toners — all of it starts with a consultation and a skin test, and none of it starts before we have told you what it will cost.
